SECURER - incluSivE praCtice hUb foR tEachers and paRents (2023-1-LV01-KA220-SCH-000150398)
The SECURER project is dedicated to improving teachers’ competencies in both inclusive education and digital skills, responding to the growing demand for more effective and equitable teaching practices in classrooms across Europe. With an emphasis on fostering inclusive education, the project provides a robust online learning hub filled with resources such as tools, audio-visual materials, webinars, and peer mentoring opportunities. These resources are designed to enhance teachers’ understanding and application of inclusive strategies, equipping them with the skills needed to support students from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities and from disadvantaged families.
One of the key objectives of SECURER is to bridge gaps in inclusive education by gathering and sharing good practices, innovative teaching methods, and practical techniques that can be adapted across different national contexts in the EU. Through collaboration with educators, schools, and educational NGOs, the project promotes cross-border knowledge exchange, enabling teachers to learn from each other and implement more effective teaching approaches. SECURER’s multilingual platform makes these resources accessible to teachers in different countries, facilitating the dissemination of best practices in inclusive education and digital pedagogy. The focus on digital skills ensures that teachers are better equipped to use technology in ways that promote inclusion and actively engage all students in learning, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds.
Through its holistic approach, SECURER not only supports the professional development of educators but also addresses national concerns related to teacher training, inclusive practices, and the modernization of pedagogy. The project contributes to key European initiatives, aligning with the European Pillar of Social Rights and the vision of the European Education Area by 2025, which prioritize the creation of inclusive, high-quality education systems. By enhancing teachers’ knowledge, competencies, and attitudes towards inclusion, SECURER seeks to build a more cohesive and inclusive society where all learners, regardless of their circumstances, have access to quality education.
